“The Evergreen High Aggies will return to action on the hardwood with three games tomorrow (Friday) night in Memorial Gym. Coach Johnny Spurlock’s Greenville Tigers will furnish the opposition in all three games. Johnny will be remembered here as an outfielder on the Evergreen pro baseball club back in the good old thirties when there was a local entry in the Alabama State League.
“The Aggies are weakened by the absence of forward Dickey Bozeman, six-footer senior, who is out with a leg injury. The cause will be aided though, by the return of John Greel Ralls, who was out before Christmas with a fractured finger.”

“Two teams composed of former basketball stars and would-be stars will play a benefit game tonight in Memorial Gym at Evergreen High School under the sponsorship of the Evergreen Rotary and Kiwanis clubs.
“It’ll cost you and the wife six bits a piece to get in and 35 cents for each younger edition you bring along.”
