Stephen King's 'Joyland' debuts this week on best-sellers list

Today is Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Sellers Lists. According to those lists, there is only one new book at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.

"Entwined with You" by Sylvia Day replaced "DSM-5" by American Psychiatric Association as the No. 1 book on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list.

"Inferno" by Dan Brown remained the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list for the fourth straight week.

"Happy, Happy, Happy: My Life and Legacy as the Duck Commander" by Phil Robertson and Mark Schlabach retained the top spot on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list for the fifth straight week.

"A Wanted Man" by Lee Child remained the No. 1 book on the mass market paperback best-sellers list for the second straight week.

There were four books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on that list lat week. They (and their places on the list) included "Revenge Wears Prada" by Lauren Weisberger (4), "The Kill Room" by Jeffery Deaver (6), "Ladies' Night" by Mary Kay Andrews (7) and "Transatlantic" by Colum McCann (15).

There were five books on this week’s hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They included "American Gun" by Chris Kyle (2), "George Washington" by Jack E. Levin (3), "Finerman's Rules" by Karen Finerman (7), "Dad Is Fat" by Jim Gaffigan (13) and "Revolutionary Summer" by Joseph J. Ellis (14).

There were two books on this week’s mass market paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They included "World War Z" by Max Brooks (12) and "Can't Stop Believing" by Jodi Thomas (13).

There were six books on this week’s trade paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They included "Entwined with You" by Sylvia Day (1), "Joyland" by Stephen King (2), "Flight Behavior" by Barbara Kingsolver (5), "Rising Tides" by Nora Roberts (12), "Bared to You" by Sylvia Day (13) and "Reflected in You" by Sylvia Day (14).

As a reminder, I’m posting these lists each Sunday because they, as a whole, represent a great, contemporary recommended reading list.
