Which of Tom Clancy's many books is YOUR all-time, personal favorite?

Tom Clancy
Best-selling author Tom Clancy passed away on Tuesday at the age of 66. Clancy, a former insurance salesman, is considered the father of the modern techno-thriller, and he was one of only a few authors who had an audience of mostly men. Born and raised in Baltimore, he will be sadly missed by the millions of fans who enjoyed reading his books.

Over the years, I’ve read a handful of Clancy’s novels, but I’m not even close to having read all of them. “The Hunt for Red October” is probably one of the best novels I’ve ever read, and I also highly recommend “Red Storm Rising,” which is required reading at the Naval Academy. I also really liked “Patriot Games” and “Clear and Present Danger.”

By my count, Clancy’s wrote 30 fiction and nonfiction books, but I’m not counting the books in his “Op-Center,” “Net Force,” “Net Force Explorers,” “Power Plays,” “Ghost Recon” and “End War” series. Co-authors assisted Clancy with several books, but he wrote almost all of his earlier novels.

What follows is a list of Clancy’s books in alphabetical order with the year of first publication in parentheses. Also, where applicable, I’ve indicated the co-author who worked with Clancy on the book. Those that I’ve read, as of this writing, I’ve indicated with an asterisk.
