Clive Cussler's new book, 'The Bootlegger,' debuts on best-sellers list

Today is Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Sellers Lists. According to those lists, there are three new books at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.

"Words of Radiance" by Brandon Sanderson replaced "The Chase" by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg as the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list.

"Alex Cross, Run" by James Patterson replaced "The Chance" by Robyn Carr as the top book on the mass market paperback best-sellers list.

"Twelve Years a Slave" by Solomon Northup replaced "Second Honeymoon" by James Patterson and Howard Roughan as the top book on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list.

"The Blood Sugar Solution 10-Day Detox Diet" by Mark Hyman remained the top book on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list for the second straight week.

There were five new books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. Those books (and their places on the list) included "Words of Radiance" by Brandon Sanderson (1), "The Bootlegger" by Clive Cussler and Justin Scott (2), "Bone Deep" by Randy Wayne White (9), "The Walking Dead" by Robert Kirkman (13) and "The Husband's Secret" by Liane Moriarty (15).

There were three new books on this week’s hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list that wasn’t on the list last week. Those books included "Uganda Be Kidding Me" by Chelsea Handler (2), "I Can See Clearly Now" by Wayne W. Dyer (7) and "Lean In" by Sheryl Sandberg (14).

There were three new books on this week’s mass market paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. Those books included "Thankless in Death" by J.D. Robb (5), "The Striker" by Clive Cussler and Justin Scott (8) and "Shawn O'Brien, Town Tamer" by William W. Johnstone (12).

There were six books on this week’s trade paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They included "Red Lily" by Nora Roberts (2), "Beautiful Day" by Elin Hilderbrand (3), "Don't Go" by Lisa Scottoline (6), "The Oh She Glows Cookbook" by Angela Liddon (7), "The How Can It Be Gluten Free" by America's Test Kitchen (8) and "Heaven is for Real" by Todd Burpo (9).
