Evergreen routs Red Level 53-7 for third straight: The Evergreen Aggies routed Red Level here Friday night 53-7 to rack up their third straight win and run the season record to four wins and three losses. The explosive, eight-touchdown attack was the biggest scoring spree by an Aggie team in a decade.
In spite of the rash of touchdowns, Coach Cliff Little credited an aggressive Aggie defensive corps with winning the ball game. He pointed out that the Aggie defenders forced eight fumbles with their hard tackling, converting one into a touchdown and setting up scores with others. The Aggies recovered seven of the eight Red Level bobbles.
(Top Evergreen players in that game included Jimmy Bell, Glenn Bolton, Wayne Caylor, Homer Faulkner, George Stinson, Lavon Tolbert, Hollis Tranum and Jack White.)

Aggies to play Miller High in Brewton Friday: Winless last season, the improving Evergreen High Aggies put a three-game win streak on the line when they travel to Brewton Friday night for a game with arch rival T.R. Miller. Kickoff is set for 7:30 in the beautiful new Miller Stadium.
Coach Cliff Little’s Aggie have gone on a scoring spree in their last two outings, blasting Frisco City, 39-6, and Red Level, 53-7. The Aggies have wins over those two, W.S. Neal and Lyeffion. They have lost to Atmore, Monroeville and Greenville.
In their last three games, the Aggies have run up a total of 106 points to 13 for their opponents. Coach Little gives most of the credit to the defensive performers for the Aggies improvement, in spite of this high-powered attack.

Brewton And Atmore Meet Friday Night: Through the cooperation of T.R. Miller Mill Co. of Brewton, the annual football game between Escambia County High and Miller High will be played in Brewton on Friday night at eight o’clock as originally scheduled.
Although electricity for the Brewton field is normally supplied from Alabama Power Company’s hydro-electric lines, an interchange arrangement has been in effect for some time whereby the steam plant for the T.R. Miller Mill Co. frequently supplies electricity during emergencies to all consumers served by the Brewton substation of the power company.
By virtue of this set-up and through agreement of officials of both the power company and the mill company, the latter company will take over the Brewton load during the hours when lights on the Brewton football field are in use tomorrow (Friday) night.
Through this arrangement, all electricity used in lighting the field will be generated at the steam plant of T.R. Miller Mill Co. This will in no way conflict with the government’s present program of conserving hydro-electric power in the Southeast or violate orders of the OPM prohibiting athletic games at night. Actually, it will tend to further the conservation program by relieving the power company of the entire load of Brewton and vicinity that would otherwise be carried by its lines on Friday night.

Domino Club Will Meet Thursday Night: The Domino club will meet at the Evergreen High School next Thursday night, Nov. 6. Everybody invited. Each player will draw for his partner promptly at 7:30. Come out and let’s have lots of fun and make new friends. – The Evergreen Domino Club.
