County Training School Win and Lose: The victory march of the County Training School five was halted momentarily Friday afternoon by the Lomax Hannon quintet of Greenville. The CCTS boys playing a splendid defensive game were unable to get their eyes on the basket. Augustus Brown, “Crip shot artist” of CCTS, was well covered and had to be satisfied with only four points. Welch tallied the other four points as the game ended 9-8 with CCTS on the short end of the score.
Leaving Greenville, the team hurried to Georgiana, where they met and conquered a fast and flashy team by a score of 15-11. The entire team played inspired basketball as they vowed not to lose two games in one day.
