New Civil War book appears on nonfiction best-sellers list this week

Today is Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Sellers Lists. According to those lists, there are two new books at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.

"Inferno" by Dan Brown replaced "Second Honeymoon" by James Patterson and Howard Roughan as the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list.

"Friends Forever: A Novel" by Danielle Steel and Nick Podehl replaced "The Newcomer" by Robyn Carr as the No. 1 book on the mass market paperback best-sellers list.

"Happy, Happy, Happy: My Life and Legacy as the Duck Commander" by Phil Robertson and Mark Schlabach retained the top spot on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list for the ninth straight week.

"Joyland" by Stephen King remained the top book on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list for the fourth straight week.

There were two books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on that list lat week. They (and their places on the list) included "Affliction" by Laurell K. Hamilton (4) and "Unseen: A Novel" by Karin Slaughter (11).

They included "Unbreakable: My Story, My Way" by Jenni Rivera (6), "Revolutionary Summer: The Birth of American Independence" by Joseph J. Ellis (11) and "Gettysburg: The Last Invasion" by Allen C. Guelzo (13).

Johnstone and J.A. Johnstone (10), "Reflections & Dreams: Reflections/Dance of Dreams" by Nora Roberts (13) and "The Fallen Angel" by Daniel Silva (15).

  1. I love non fiction, so I'll definitely be looking in to some of these! I'm currently reading “One American Woman Fifty Italian Men” by Lynne Ashdown, http://lynneashdown.com/, and I can't put it down. It's a really great read, I'd highly recommend it! Thanks for the post!
