Evergreen All Stars To Play Andalusia Sunday: Evergreen All
Stars, local amateur baseball team, will meet the Andalusia team at Gantt Field
Sunday afternoon at three o’clock in an effort to decide which is the stronger
team. These teams played a 13-inning thriller Aug. 28 which ended in a tie,
4-4. Much interest is being manifested in the forthcoming game and it is
expected that a large crowd of fans will be on hand to witness the game.
The locals won from Brewton at Brewton last Sunday, the
score being 11-3. To date, the All Stars are undefeated, the tie game with
Andalusia two weeks ago being the nearest approach to defeat. The team expects
to remove this blur from its record in the game next Sunday afternoon.
