From ‘The Colyum’ by Bob Bozeman:
“It takes all kinds department: Coach Wendell Hart parked his car in front of the Holiday Inn Sunday morning, in broad daylight, and went in for a cup of coffee. He drank the coffee and talked a while, then returned to his car. It wouldn’t start. He raised the hood… someone had stolen his battery.”

“Charles Owens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tenies Owens, was chosen ‘Senior of the Month’ for March at Lyeffion High School. He played on the varsity football squad, member of FFA for three years, selected for ‘Who’s Who’ in his junior year and is a member of the track team.”

“Paul Brantley, president of the Lenox Saddle Club, and Mrs. Christine Gandy, president of the Lenox Community Club, today expressed their thanks and appreciation to all who helped and all who attended the annual Spring Rodeo and Horse Show, Saturday night.
“They said they spoke on behalf of the entire community for the outstanding support that made this the most successful yet of the annual events.”
