It’s Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly review of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Seller List. According to the list, we’ve got one new book at the top of the four major best-seller lists this week.
"Smokin' Seventeen" by Janet Evanovich replaced "Against All Enemies" by Tom Clancy and Peter Telep as the top book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list.
"Go the F to Sleep" by Adam Mansbach and Illustrations by Ricardo Cortes retained the top spot on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list.
"A Game of Thrones" by George R.R. Martin kept the No. 1 spot on the mass market paperback best-sellers list.
"The Help" by Kathryn Stockett (Putnam Adult) retained the top spot on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list.
There are five books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They (along with their place on the list) include "Smokin' Seventeen" by Janet Evanovich (1), "The Devil Colony" by James Rollins (3), "Silver Girl: A Novel" by Elin Hilderbrand (6), "Fallen" by Karin Slaughter (8) and "Maine" by J. Courtney Sullivan (14).
There are three books on this week’s hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They include "Reckless Endangerment" by Gretchen Morgenson & Joshua Rosner (5), "The Miracle of Freedom" by Chris Stewart & Ted Stewart (14) and "Lost in Shangri-La" by Mitchell Zuckoff (15).
There are four books on this week’s mass market paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on that list last week. They include "Sizzling Sixteen" by Janet Evanovich (3), "Tough Customer: A Novel" by Sandra Brown (4), "A Feast for Crows" by George R.R. Martin (7) and "A Wedding Wager" by Jane Feather (15).
There are three books on this week’s trade paperbacks list that weren’t on the list last week. They include "Learning" by Karen Kingsbury (6), "Game of Thrones" by George R.R. Martin (8) and "Life" by Keith Richards (14).
As a reminder, I’m posting these lists each Sunday because they, as a whole, represent a great, contemporary recommended reading list.
