It’s Wednesday, so today I give you my weekly list of movies that will open in theatres this week as well as my list of movies that will be released on DVD.I hope this will serve as a useful guide as to what’s going this week if you happen to be near a movie theatre or if you’re looking for something to drop into your NetFlix queue.
Movies that are scheduled to hit theatres this Friday include:

New DVD releases for the week of Sept. 7 include:

- MacGruber (R): Will Forte, Val Kilmer, Powers Boothe
- Solitary Man (R): Michael Douglas, Susan Sarandon, Danny DeVito
- American Cowslip
- The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond (PG-13)
- That Evening Sun (PG-13)
- Woodshop (Not Yet Rated)
If I could only watch one movie at the theatre this week, it would be “Resident Evil: Afterlife,” and if I had to pick just one DVD to rent this week, it would be “MacGruber.”

I'm planning on going to see it tomorrow night hopefully! Unfortunately we'll have to go to Montgomery or Pensacola just to see it in 3-D. I'm proud of you for picking this one! If you like good 'ole zombie movies, this series is definitely one of the better ones.
