“The Eagles botched a punt attempt on their own 22, and Jag quarterback Chenson Griffin capped the short drive with a 10-yard scoring strike to tight end Seneca Grace at the 1:43 mark of the third quarter. Dominique Etheridge’s kick cut the Neal lead in half.
“Hillcrest drove to the Neal 14 early in the fourth quarter, but star tailback Derrick Rogers was caught for a two-yard loss on fourth down by linebacker Kendrell Williams. Two pass interceptions and penalties killed the Jaguars’ chances the rest of the way.”
“The Sparta Academy Warriors upped their record to 1-1 this past Friday night with a 55-26 victory over the Greenville Academy ‘Nadoes.
