'The Walking Dead, Vol. 13' tops graphic novel best-sellers list this week

"The Walking Dead, Vol. 13"
Today is Tuesday, so that means it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s New York Times lists of best-selling graphic novels. According to those lists, there is one new book at the top of the two major graphic novel lists this week.

“The Walking Dead, Vol. 13” by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard replaced “Avatar: The Last Airbender, Part 3” by Gene Luen Yang and others as the top book on the Paperback Graphic Books best-sellers list.

“Batman, Vol. 3” by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo remained the No. 1 book on the Hardcover Graphic Books best-sellers list for the third week in a row.

There were four books on this week’s Hardcover Graphic Books best-sellers list that weren’t on that list last week. They (and their places on the list) included “Hawkeye, Vol. 1” by Matt Fraction and David Aja (2), “Daredevil by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson Omnibus” by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson (3), “Aquaman, Vol. 3” by Geoff Johns, Paul Pelletier and Ivan Reis (4) and “The Fifth Beatle: The Brian Epstein Story” by Vivek Tiwary and Andrew C. Robinson (5).

There were two books on this week’s Paperback Graphic Books best-sellers list that wasn’t on that list last week. They included “Swamp Thing, Vol. 3” by Scott Snyder and Yanick Paquette (7) and “Saga, Vol. 2” by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples (10).

As a reminder, I’m posting these lists each Tuesday because they, as a whole, represent a great, contemporary recommended reading list.
