Red Level Is Foe For Aggies Here In Homecoming Test: The Evergreen Aggies will face a strong Red Level team tomorrow night at Brooks Stadium at the Evergreen homecoming. The game is set at 8:00 with plenty of festivities planned for local fans.
Coach John Law Robinson and assistant Henry Allmon report the Aggies in good physical condition after a close loss to Frisco City last week.
Aggies coaches had praise for Donnie Bolton, James Ward, Bobby Lynch, Alvin Dees, Robert Rigsby, Winston Pugh, Bob Ivey, Jimmy Warren and Paul Deason in last week’s play against Frisco City. Deason had quite a night offensively as he picked up 95 yards on 15 carries for an average of 6.3 per carry. He and Donnie Bolton were defensive standouts for the Evergreen eleven.

Lyeffion to Hold First Home Game Thursday Night: For the first time in school history, the Lyeffion Yellow Jackets will play a home football game Thursday night at 7:30 on the new Lyeffion field. The Jackets will face a powerful Zion Chapel eleven on the Lyeffion field that is reported to have the best sod in this section of the country. The members of the Lyeffion Quarterback Club have been very active in building and lighting the Lyeffion field and the whole community takes pride in the accomplishment.
The Jackets, under Coach Shirley Frazier, have compiled a two win, four loss record so far this year. Frazier was an outstanding athlete under Coach Hart at Evergreen High School in the early 1950s. He went on to play college ball at Troy State Teachers College.

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hart spent the weekend with relatives in Tuscaloosa and attended the Alabama-Kentucky game.

Sen. and Mrs. J.L. Kelly and sons, James and George, and R.G. Bozeman attended the Alabama-Kentucky game in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.

Crimson Tide To Play Tulane At New Orleans: With six games behind them, the Tidesmen of Alabama invade New Orleans Saturday for an engagement with the Green Wave of Tulane University.
Tulane has played in-and-out football this season, holding Auburn to a tie, defeating Colgate but going down before the attack of a powerful North Carolina team.
The Green Wave outfit boasts a heavy line with an average that hits the scales around the 200-pound mark.
Paced by Dub Mattis, halfback who has led the Greenies’ offense this season, the New Orleans team packs both speed and power in the backfield department. Bill Flowers, also a halfback, has teamed with Mattis this season in heading the Tulane ground-gaining crew.
Coach “Red” Dawson, Tulane mentor, will toss a well-fortified wall against Alabama. End Wentzel, at 222, a sophomore, is the heftiest man in the forward fortifications.
The brunt of the Alabama attack has been borne by Charley Holm, fullback, and Joe Kilgrow, halfback, so far this season.
Outstanding linemen this season for Alabama have been Perron Shoemaker, end, Lewis Bostick and Leroy Monsky, guards.
