It’s Wednesday, so today I give you my weekly list of movies that will open in theatres this week as well as a list of movies that will be released this week on DVD.
I hope this will serve as a useful guide as to what’s going on this week if you happen to be near a movie theatre or if you’re looking for something to drop into your NetFlix queue.
Movies that are scheduled to hit theatres this week include:
3, 2, 1… Frankie Go Boom (Comedy): Directed by Jordan Moore and starring Charlie Hunnam, Chris O’Dowd, Lizzy Caplan, Chris North and Ron Perlman.
Argo (R, Drama, Suspense): Directed by Ben Affleck and starring Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston, Alan Arkin, John Goodman and Kyle Chandler.
Atlas Shrugged: Part Two (PG-13, Drama, Mystery): Directed by John Putch and starring Samantha Mathis, Jason Beghe, Esai Morales, Richard T. Jones and Kim Rhodes.
Grave Encounters 2 (Horror): Directed by John Poliquin and starring Richard Harmon, Sean Rogerson, Stephanie Bennett, Dylan Playfair and Leanne Lapp.
Here Comes the Boom (PG, Comedy, Action): Directed by Frank Coraci and starring Kevin James, Salma Hayek, Henry Winkler, Joe Rogan and Greg Germann.

If I could only watch one movie at the theatre this week, it would be “Argo,” and if I had to pick just one DVD to rent this week, it would be “The Raven.”
