“The Conecuh County Championship was won by the Evergreen Aggies opposing back for several losses.
“Well, the big game of the year is coming off this Friday night on the local gridiron when the Aggies clash with the Flomaton footballers in the homecoming battle. The game is considered a toss-up by those who have seen both teams play. The game will be the feature event of the night, but more entertainment is being planned.
“A dance sponsored by the alumni of Evergreen High will be held after the game and the band is slated to perform at the game. So, with all this slated for one night, a large crowd is expected to be on hand at game time.”

“Mr. and Mrs. Ward Alexander spent several days last week with friends in Vicksburg, Miss. They also attended the Alabama-LSU football game Saturday in Baton Rouge, La.”
