It’s Wednesday, so today I give you my weekly list of movies that will open in theatres this week as well as a list of movies that will be released this week on DVD.
I hope this will serve as a useful guide as to what’s going on this week if you happen to be near a movie theatre or if you’re looking for something to drop into your NetFlix queue.
Movies that are scheduled to hit theatres this week include:
American Reunion (Comedy, Romance, R): Directed by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg and Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan, Seann William Scott, Chris Klein and Mena Suvari.
The Assault (Action, Suspense, R): Directed by Julien Leclercq and starring Vincent Elbaz, Gregori Derangere, Melanie Bernier, Philippe Bas and Aymen Saidi.
ATM (Horror, Suspense, R): Directed by David Brooks and starring Alice Eve, Josh Peck, Brian Geraghty, Will Woytowich and Glen Thompson.
Comic-Con: Episode IV- A Fan’s Hope (Documentary): Directed by Morgan Spurlock and starring Stan Lee, Joss Whedon, Frank Miller, Kevin Smith and Matt Groening.
Damsels in Distress (Comedy, PG-13): Directed by Whit Stillman and starring Greta Gerwig, Adam Brody, Analeigh Tipton, Megalyn Echikunwoke and Carrie MacLemore.
Keyhole (Suspense, Drama, R): Directed by Guy Maddin and starring Jason Patric, Isabella Rossellini, Udo Kier, Tattiawna Jones and Kevin McDonald.
Return (Drama): Directed by Liza Johnson and starring Linda Cardellini, Michael Shannon, John Slattery, Talia Balsam and Emma Rayne Lyle.

If I could only watch one movie at the theatre this week, it would be “American Reunion,” and if I had to pick just one DVD to rent this week, it would be “War Horse.”
