New Richard Ford novel, 'Canada,' appears on fiction best-sellers list

It’s Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Seller List. According to the list, there are two new books at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.

"11th Hour" by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro replaced "Stolen Prey" by John Sandford as the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list.

"It Worked for Me" by Colin Powell replaced "The Amateur" by Edward Klein as the No. 1 book on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list.

"Explosive Eighteen" by Janet Evanovich remained atop the mass market paperback best-sellers list for the second week in the row.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" by E.L. James retained its place atop the trade paperbacks best-sellers list for the eighth week in a row.

There are two books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They (along with their place on the list) include "Canada" by Richard Ford (10) and "Beautiful Sacrifice" by Elizabeth Lowell (15).

There are six books on this week’s hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They include "It Worked for Me" by Colin Powell (1), "How Winning Works" by Robyn Benincasa (7), "The $100 Startup" by Chris Guillebeau (8), "The Real Crash" by Peter Schiff (9), "Bombshell" by Suzanne Somers (13) and "Fearless" by Eric Blehm (15).

There are six books on this week’s mass market paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on that list last week. They include "Full Black" by Brad Thor (4), "The Bourne Dominion" by Robert Ludlum (6), "Abuse of Power" by Michael Savage (11), "The Island" by Elin Hilderbrand (12), "Betrayal of Trust" by J.A. Jance (13) and "White Cargo" by Stuart Woods (15).

There are seven books on this week’s trade paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They include "Kill Alex Cross" by James Patterson (5), "Thank You Notes 2" by Jimmy Fallon (8), "Then Came You" by Jennifer Weiner (10), "Summer Rental" by Mary Kay Andrews (11), "Mockingjay" by Suzanne Collins (13), "Catching Fire" by Suzanne Collins (14) and "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest" by Stieg Larsson (15).
