'Batman: The City of Owls" appears on best-sellers list this week

Today is Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Sellers Lists. According to those lists, there are two new books at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.

"Lover at Last: A Novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood" by J.R. Ward replaced "Six Years" by Harlan Coben as the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list.

"The Wanderer" by Robyn Carr replaced "The Lost Years" by Mary Higgins Clark as the top book on the mass market paperback best-sellers list.

"Lean In" by Sheryl Sandberg remained the top book on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list for the third week in a row.

"Proof of Heaven" by Eben Alexander remained the No. 1 book on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list for the 18th week in a row.

There were six books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on that list lat week. They (and their places on the list) included "Lover at Last: A Novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood" by J.R. Ward (1), "The Burgess Boys: A Novel" by Elizabeth Strout (6), "Leaving Everything Most Loved: A Maisie Dobbs Novel" by Jacqueline Winspear (7), "The Golden Egg" by Donna Leon (11), "Batman, Vol. 2: The City of Owls" by Scott Snyder and Greg Capulla and Rafael Albuquerque (14) and "Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald" by Anne Fowler (15).

There were three books on this week’s hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They included "Decisive: How to Make Better Choices in Life and Work" by Chip Heath and Dan Heath (3),"The Power of Consistency: Prosperity Mindset Training for Sales and Business Professionals" by Weldon Long (5) and "The Hormone Cure" by Dr. Sara Gottfried and Dr. Christiane Northrup (8).

There were nine books on this week’s mass market paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They included "The Wanderer" by Robyn Carr (1), "The Best of Me" by Nicholas Sparks (3), "Sand Castle Bay" by Sherryl Woods (4), "Calico Joe" by John Grisham (6), "And Then She Fell" by Stephanie Laurens (8), "Balancing Act" by Fern Michaels (10), "A Wanted Man: A Stone Creek Novel" by Linda Lael Miller (11), "Bloodline: A Sigma Force Novel" by James Rollins (14) and "Twice Tempted: A Night Prince Novel" by Jeaniene Frost (15).

There were six books on this week’s trade paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They included "The Forgotten" by David Baldacci (2),"Nothing to Lose, Everything to Gain" by Ryan Blair and Don Yaeger (3), "The Guardian" by Beverly Lewis (4), "Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail" by Cheryl Strayed (5), "The Beauty Deto Foods" by Kimberly Snyder (10) and "Calico Joe" by John Grisham (12).
