Three new books take top spots on best-sellers lists this week

Today is Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Sellers Lists. According to those lists, there are three new books at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.

"Starting Now" by Debbie Macomber replaced "Lover at Last: A Novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood" by J.R. Ward as the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list.

"The Best of Me" by Nicholas Sparks replaced "The Wanderer" by Robyn Carr as the top book on the mass market paperback best-sellers list.

"The Witness" by Nora Roberts replaced "Proof of Heaven" by Eben Alexander as the No. 1 book on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list.

"Lean In" by Sheryl Sandberg remained the top book on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list for the fourth week in a row.

There were three books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on that list lat week. They (and their places on the list) included “Starting Now" by Debbie Macomber (1), "Manuscript Found in Accra" by Paulo Coelho (3) and "Life After Life" by Kate Atkinson (4).

There were eight books on this week’s hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They included "It's All Good" by Gwyneth Paltro (2), "Making Good Habits, Breaking Bad Habits" by Joyce Meyer (6), "Secrets of Silicon Valley" by Deborah Perry Piscione (7), "Carry On, Warrior" by Glennon Melton (8), "Gulp" by Mary Roach (11), "The Key Is Love" by Marie Osmond (13), "The Tapping Solution" by Nick Ortner (14) and "The Great Deformation" by David Stockman (15).

There were three books on this week’s mass market paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They included "Delusion in Death" by J.D. Robb (3), "Severe Clear" by Stuart Woods (8) and "Dry Gulch Ambush" by William W. Johnstone (11).

There were seven books on this week’s trade paperbacks best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They included "The Witness" by Nora Roberts (1), "Walking Disaster" by Jamie McGuire (2), "Fever" by Maya Banks (5), "I, Michael Bennett" by James Patterson, Michael Ledwidge (6), "Beautiful Ruins" by Jess Walter (9), "Light Between Oceans" by M.L. Stedman (14) and "Thinking, Fast and Slow" by Daniel Kahneman (15).
