(Editor's Note: This post was originally supposed to have appeared on Sunday, but due to technical difficulties I wasn't able to post it until today. Enjoy.)
Today is Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Sellers Lists. According to those lists, there are two new books at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.
"A Wanted Man" by Lee Child replaced "Black List" by Brad Thor as the No. 1 book on the mass market paperback best-sellers list.
"DSM-5" by American Psychiatric Association replaced "Proof of Heaven" by Eben Alexander as the No. 1 book on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list.
"Inferno" by Dan Brown remained the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list for the third straight week.
"Happy, Happy, Happy: My Life and Legacy as the Duck Commander" by Phil Robertson and Mark Schlabach retained the top spot on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list for the fourth straight week.
There were three books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on that list lat week. They (and their places on the list) included "Zero Hour" by Clive Cussler and Graham Brown (3), "Deeply Odd" by Dean Koontz (4) and "The Son" by Philipp Meyer (11).
There were two books on this week’s hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. They included "The Fast Metabolism Diet" by Haylie Pomroy (12) and "The Unwinding" by George Packer (13).
