Today is Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Sellers Lists. According to those lists, there are three new books at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.
"Doctor Sleep" by Stephen King replaced "The Longest Ride" by Nicholas Sparks as the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list this week.
"Killing Jesus" by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard replaced "Si-Cology 1" by Si Robertson as the top book on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list.
"The Sins of the Mother" by Danielle Steel replaced "The Racketeer" by John Grisham as the No. 1 book on the mass market paperback best-sellers list.
"The Hit" by David Baldacci remained the top book on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list for the second straight week.
There were five books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on that list last week. They (and their places on the list) included "Doctor Sleep" by Stephen King (1), "The Lowland" by Jhumpa Lahiri (4), "Deadline" by Sandra Brown (6), "A Seaside Christmas" by Sherryl Woods (13) and "Christmas on 4th Street" by Susan Mallery (14).
