It’s Wednesday, so today I give you my weekly list of movies that will open in theatres this week as well as a list of movies that will be released this week on DVD.
Movies that are scheduled to hit theatres this week include:
- All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (Horror, R): Directed by Jonathan Levine and starring Amber Heard, Anson Mount, Michael Welch, Aaron Himelstein and Edwin Hodge.
- Captain Phillips (Action, Suspense, Drama, PG-13): Directed by Paul Greengrass and starring Tom Hanks, Catherine Keener, Yul Vazquez, Christopher Stadulis and Corey Johnson.
- CBGB (Drama, R): Directed by Randall Miller and starring Malin Akerman, Ryan Hurst, Stana Katic, Ashley Greene and Johnny Galecki.
- Escape from Tomorrow (Horror, Fantasy): Directed by Randy Moore and starring Roy Abramsohn, Elena Schuber, Katelynn Rodriguez, Jack Dalton and Danielle Safady.
- The Fifth Estate (Drama, R): Directed by Bill Condon and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Daniel Bruhl, Carice Van Houten, Peter Capaldi and Dan Stevens.

New DVD releases this week include:

If I could only watch one movie at the theatre this week, it would be “Captain Phillips,” and if I had to pick just one DVD to rent this week, it would be “The Hangover: Part III.”
