Baldacci's 'The Target' remains atop hardcover fiction best-sellers list

Today is Sunday, so that means that it’s time for my weekly breakdown of this week’s Publishers Weekly Best-Sellers Lists. According to those lists, there are three new books at the top of the four major best-sellers lists this week.

"The Target" by David Baldacci remained the No. 1 book on the hardcover fiction best-sellers list for the second week in a row.

"Everybody's Got Something" by Robin Roberts and Veronica Chambers replaced "Smart Money Smart Kids" by Dave Ramsey and Rachel Cruz as the top book on the hardcover nonfiction best-sellers list.

"First Sight" by Danielle Steel replaced "Never Go Back" by Lee Child as the top book on the mass market paperback best-sellers list.

"Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn replaced "Heaven is for Real" by Todd Burpo as the top book on the trade paperbacks best-sellers list.

There were eight new books on this week’s hardcover fiction best-sellers list that weren’t on the list last week. Those books (and their places on the list) included "Natchez Burning" by Greg Iles (2), "I've Got You Under My Skin" by Mary Higgins Clark (6), "Live to See Tomorrow" by Iris Johansen (7), "NYPD Red 2" by Patterson/Karp (8), "Bridge to Haven" by Francine Rivers (10), "The Serpent of Venice" by Christopher Moore (11), "Missing You" by Harlan Coben (13) and "Otherwise Engaged" by Amanda Quick (15).
